### Lesson Plan:
#### Introduction (10 minutes)
1. **Opening Prayer:**
Start the lesson with an opening prayer to ask for divine guidance and understanding.
2. **Hook/Engage:**
Pose the question: “What does it mean to submit to someone’s will?” Allow students to brainstorm and share their thoughts before narrowing the discussion to the context of submitting to God's will.
#### Direct Instruction (15 minutes)
3. **Definition and Explanation:**
- Define submission in general terms and then specifically in the context of faith and religion.
- Explain what it means to submit to the will of God by emphasizing obedience, trust, humility, and surrender.
4. **Biblical Examples:**
- **Abraham (Genesis 22:1-18):** Discuss Abraham's willingness to sacrifice Isaac, emphasizing his trust and obedience.
- **Jesus (Mark 14:32-36):** Discuss Jesus' prayer in Gethsemane, highlighting submission to the Father’s will even in face of great suffering.
- **Paul (Acts 21:10-14):** Discuss Paul’s journey to Jerusalem despite knowing he would face persecution, showing his commitment to God’s plan.
#### Guided Practice (20 minutes)
5. **Scripture Reading and Analysis:**
- Divide students into small groups and assign each group one of the three biblical examples discussed.
- Provide handouts with key passages and discussion questions.
- Students read the passages and discuss using questions such as:
- What challenges did the individual face?
- How did they show submission to God’s will?
- What was the outcome of their submission?
6. **Group Presentations:**
Each group presents their findings to the class, highlighting the key lessons learned from their assigned scripture passage.
